Julie completed her undergraduate education at Stanford University, where she studied communication and journalism. She was awarded the Stanford scholar athlete honors all four years while competing in the hurdles and jumping events on the track and field team. She then moved to Seattle to pursue a masters degree in nutrition at Bastyr University, a naturopathic medical school. Her dietetic internship training was completed at the University of Virginia. After working in both inpatient and outpatient dietetics, Julie expanded the scope of her practice by pursuing a masters in physician assistant studies at Lock Haven University.
Julie’s dual training as a registered dietitian and physician assistant allows her to address each patient’s unique needs from a holistic perspective. She is able to draw on her experiences in medical nutrition therapy and bariatric surgery to provide optimum patient-centered care.
